About Geer Wissel & Levy
We are a New Mexico family law firm serving Mothers, Fathers, Children and Grandparents for over 40 years.
Founded in 1977, we are an Albuquerque law firm focusing on family law and domestic relations. We strive to provide legal services delivered with integrity and respect. We offer expertise in complex issues of divorce, child custody, child support, collaborative divorce and related family issues such as grandparent visitation and kinship guardianship. We also handle a variety of civil matters including adoption, personal injury, wills, estates, and civil rights cases.
Our firm is dedicated to supporting our community through service on boards and participating in court arranged settlement facilitations such as the Peter Johnstone Facilitation Day. For the 40th anniversary of the firm’s existence we promised to perform at least 40 acts of service in one year. With the help of attorneys and staff, we accomplished this goal. We are a firm that represents families and feel we should treat our employees as family. As a result most of our staff have been with the firm for over 20 years.
The Honorable Susan M. Conway (founder) started the firm with husband Robert D. Levy (founder) on April 1, 1977. In 2004 their daughter, Jane C. Levy, joined the firm as an associate attorney, and in 2016 she was appointed District Court Judge and currently serves as a family court judge for the Second Judicial District Court. The Honorable Susan M. Conway and The Honorable Jane C. Levy are the first mother daughter to be appointed to a judicial position in New Mexico.
